You're probably reading this on the toilet

What happened to all that GOLD?

Brush your teeth! Eat your vegetables! Make your bed!

It all sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Well what if I told you doing one of these things dramatically increased your chances of becoming a millionaire?

I had read something somewhere that leaving your bed messy was a good thing because the MILLIONS of dust mites that are in your bed die off when there’s no moisture in the bedsheets anymore throughout the day. That all said, I make the bed everyday. Actually fun fact, I tend to make the bed while I’m on the phone with people in the morning.

If you guessed making your bed would give you a better chance of becoming a millionaire then you would be correct. According to a study by Randall Bell, people who made their bed were 2068.8% more likely to strike it rich. This is because bedmakers have developed this “keystone habit” which is linked to improved productivity, a higher sense of well-being, and better budgeting abilities.

Other aspects of life that lead to success in the study included regular exercise, being polite, valuing relationships, waking up early, and reading. Personally I’m surprised cold plunge + sauna didn’t make the list but alas you can’t have it all.

In summary, MAKE YOUR DAMN BED…and be a nice person.

WHERE ARE YOU READING THIS RIGHT NOW?

Let’s just dive right into the business this week. If you’re sitting on the toilet right now then you’re putting yourself at some health risks according to Dr. Saurabh Sethi, a Harvard and Stanford trained gastroenterologist. Don’t believe me? Watch the video below 👇️

@doctorsethimd

Here is why you should stop using phone on the toilet #guthealth #guttok #healthtips #hemorrhoids #analfissuretok #constipation #phone #healthtok

The TLDR here is sitting for too long on the toilet puts a strain on your butt which can lead to fissures and hemorrhoids and all kinds of painful ewww ewww ewww’s. According to Medical News Today (I refuse to link the article I read this in), you shouldn’t be taking any longer than 10-15 minutes on the toilet. Any longer and you definitely have some health issues you need to talk to a doctor about. OR you’re addicted to TikTok.

So what should you do, you ask? Well for starters, when you’re taking a dump you’re probably getting fecal matter on your phone. Did you know your phone is probably dirtier than a public toilet? You probably did but I know I know, see no doo doo, think no doo doo.

OK enough 💩 talk. Before we take this down the TMI path, the only recommendation that really makes sense here is to stop sitting on the toilet like it’s a throne and wipe your phone down after the washroom to disinfect it.

(I’m assuming you already wash your hands…RIGHT?)

Canada is on the case!

Here’s a fun fact about Canada that I’m sure you didn’t know - Paw Patrol is Canadian. Yes, I know, that fun loving team of pups that save their bumbling mayor (who voted for that woman and how is she fit to be a mayor??) every episode was proudly produced in Canada. The company behind Paw Patrol is called Spin Master and unless you have kids, you probably didn’t even know this multi-billion dollar toy and entertainment company existed in the first place.

Recently Spin Master announced the acquisition of Melissa & Doug, the makers of all kinds of wooden toy things you buy 1-3 year olds at Toys R Us. The toy and TV mogul purchased the fake pizza making company for $950M in CASH. I’m telling you, Paw Patrol pays the bills.

The reason why this deal is strategic is because slowly but surely Spin Master is buying up Toys R Us aisles like this was Super Market Sweep ( 😆 ). Alongside Melissa & Doug, Rubik’s Cube, Tech Deck, Orbeez, Hatchimals, Air Hogs, and Kinetic Sand all fall under the Spin Master banner just to name a few. And you thought Canada wasn’t known for anything!

Goooooold, I want gold

We’re also known for $20M gold heists. New details have been released about what happened at Pearson Airport in Toronto back in April. Sounding straight out of an Ocean’s Eleven movie, we now know that about $20M in gold bars and $2M in cash casually being taken straight out of an Air Canada cargo facility at the airport. The gold and money had been transported on a daily passenger and cargo flight from Zurich, Switzerland on April 17th. Imagine being on that flight knowing what was right below your feet?

When the plane landed the precious cargo was transported to a “secure” warehouse at the airport. And 42 minutes later, after being presented with a fake waybill, Air Canada released the cargo and someone became $20M+ richer.

Brinks was hired to ensure the secure transfer of the cargo to the consignee, TD Bank. They are now suing Air Canada for, well, f*cking up. Meanwhile the theft, which is one of the largest in Canadian history, remains unsolved. Cue the Netflix special.
