Dulture weekly mix
This week’s mix was put together on the fly as the video goes on. If you’ve got a job where music doesn’t distract your work, put this on in the background will ya?
How much does your car say about you? I guess it depends on how much you care about the car you drive.
Either it gets you from point A to point B or it’s your baby - is there really any inbetween when someone describes a car? Well, if you drive a Tesla, the world has all kinds of other opinions about the car you drive…and potentially you as the driver.
Depending on where you live, the road became littered with Model 3’s when they started being delivered en masse. Then it became littered with Model Y’s when the floodgates opened on those. Where I am in north of Toronto, we’re starting to get Cybertrucks all over now as well.

Politics aside, I can’t understand why someone would want a Cybertruck. In 2024 there were 6 recalls on the vehicle alone. Meanwhile this week deliveries have been halted for new Cybertrucks as it was discovered that a roof trim can fly off while driving.
Meanwhile these things cost this much…

I just feel like if you’re going to spend over $100K on a vehicle, why not get something that doesn’t look like it was built in Minecraft?
Especially when this is what’s been going on with people’s vehicles:
Sooo About Them Aliens…

If you believe in UFOs, I know you’re just waiting for it to happen. You know what I’m talking about - they finally show up, get out of their saucer and walk amongst us.
What if this has already happened??
This week at SXSW a new documentary was shown that apparently “stunned the crowd” because of how shocking it was. The Age of Disclosure by Dan Farah is supposed to be THE documentary on all things aliens and UFOs that finally give us the answers we’re looking for.
Are UFOs made from non-human beings? Yes.
Are non-human life forms visiting Earth? Yes.
Has the US government retrieved non-human made air craft? Yes.
Has the US government retrieved the bodies of non-human beings? Yes.
The Age of Disclosure features 34 senior members across the US government, military, and intelligence community. The claim that the documentary makes is that there’s been an 80 year cover up on the existence of non-human life as well as a secret war going on between several countries to see who can reverse engineer the UFO crafts first.

What is that?
According to the Motion Picture Association (you know that little sideways oval globe thing that comes at the very end of the credits in movies), The Age of Disclosure has a high possibility of being the defining documentary for the year 2025.
And more importantly, starting a sustained conversation around the clear fact, according to the documentary, that we’re not alone.
Dusting off my tin foil hat - I NEED TO WATCH THIS.
STARBURY
Y’all took Stephon Marbury for granted and it shows.
…is what I’d expect to see as an unhinged comment on social media when Stephon Marbury moved to China years ago.
I could really do a newsletter issue completely on Starbury, from him being a NY basketball legend in high school and college to his NBA accolades, to moving to China and becoming an even bigger super star, and finally to the $15 shoes he released in 2006.
I vaguely remember these shoes.

From an interview he did with CoMpLeX (yuck) earlier this week, Marbury announced that he plans on re-launching the Starbury shoe brand next summer.
The original shoe line did decently, all things considered aka competing directly with Nike. But players complained about sore feet and knees when hooping in them - so there’s that as well.
@complex_sneakers #starburymarbury says that his original #Starbury deal was only for royalties, and now wants to bring the brand back. ⭐
Given a statue was erected in Starbury’s honour in China, it’s safe to say anything is possible with this guy.
And another thing. Sheesh this issue is just littered with documentaries - this one is insanely good though. If you like basketball, you will absolutely enjoy watching this documentary.
Sicko is Free on YouTube
A lot of the reasons why you like documentaries may be because of Michael Moore. Bowling for Columbine was ahead of its time when it came to documentaries. Meanwhile Fahrenheit 9/11 was an eye opening perspective on the media, something we definitely didn’t get a whole lot of in the early 2000’s.
Moore became famous for storytelling that was bolder than the average documentarian. He liked to shove the facts in your face…or at least edit them in a way where they got your attention.
In Sicko, he takes you on an adventure through the American healthcare system, comparing it to the likes of Canada, Cuba, the UK and France. We’ve probably seen enough about the US healthcare system at this point that perhaps the film is redundant?
But then again, Moore’s storytelling in Sicko gives you enough a-ha moments that you get drawn in to learn more about all of these healthcare systems without feeling like you’ve heard it all before, even if the documentary is from 2007.
It’s free to watch on YouTube - now you’ve got something to watch tonight. You’re welcome.
