GTA 6 Setting Records and It's STILL NOT OUT YET
Andre3000 showed up with a grand piano as his backpack

This Week in Dulture…

Dulture weekly mix
I’m writing this while I watch the T-Wolves absolutely destroy the Warriors. It’s crazy to think this series is the 6th seed vs the 7th seed because both teams look strong enough to make it to the West finals - which obviously will happen as one of them inevitably wins this series. DUH.
This week’s mix brings you a duo from Toronto → Zed’s Dead. Originally going by the name Mass Productions, the duo of “DC” and “Hooks” got their start making hiphop music. A couple years later they took interest in electronic music and the rest is history…as you’ll hear in the mix.

When I was in grade 7 our teacher was basically our mom.
She coddled us like we were 12 year olds that couldn’t tie our own shoes or go to the washroom by ourselves. A lot of kids were annoyed with her teaching “style” because we were on the verge of becoming bratty young teenagers and she wanted nothing more than for that to never happen.
...which ironically made us even brattier.
The end of grade 7 was a relief knowing we’d have a new teacher to finish off our primary school years torturing someone else.
So you should’ve seen the confused looks on all of our faces when she stood there in the classroom doorway welcoming us back to school on the first day of grade 8.
Grade 8 was a transformative year - while our teacher became more of a mother than ever before, she lectured us on the way we peed in the bathroom, throwing erasers at each other in class, and making sure we used deodorant - especially on days we had gym class.
Looking back on those years we probably got nagged more than necessary, which made it all the more fun to act up in class.
Kind of like Knicks fans right now who are up 2-0 against the Celtics going back to New York.
See, this woman is exactly who my Grade 8 teacher was:
Reacting to everyone’s foolishness
Tripping on herself

And just not letting anyone have a good time

Dare I say it...Knicks in 4??

A Video Game & A Movie
The way it worked when I was younger:
My older brother would play the game and I would watch. And NGL, sometimes the game looked really hard so I preferred to watch anyway.
Nowadays I simply don’t have the time to invest into these crazy, giant world games. However, these are the types of games that tend to tell the best stories while having the most fun. Except Elden Ring. Great story, but f*ck that game…
Rockstar Games just released the latest trailer for GTA 6 and all I can say is, I don’t mind if I only had to watch someone play this game - it looks amazing and the story looks like a movie I already want to watch.
If a publication like The Hollywood Reporter is writing about the game’s trailer then this game is going to be something very different.

All over the internet people are piecing together hints and screenshots from the trailer to figure out what exactly the game is about and what you can actually do in the game - which seems to be almost literally anything.

IGN provided a very detailed breakdown of everything they could find and pull from the trailer here.
This game looks like a thing of beauty - I’m just excited to watch it, let alone play it.
Streamer University
I find the concept of school is being redefined dramatically these days given you can learn the vast majority of skills from things like YouTube and TikTok- not to mention all these people who have “courses” you can buy to also “learn”.
Haha - don’t buy courses from these people who claim to have already “done the thing”
Unless they’re the one of the biggest streamers / internet personalities in the world.
Kai Cenat just announced and launched his Streamer University this week and it’s already seen over 1 million applications. We obviously know where the world’s priorities are.
The idea is you would go to this school, be filmed constantly, and produce content that assumingly gets seen by millions of people who would tune-in to watch live streams at the school.
And you’ll also be learning something from the sounds of it…

As I read through Streamer University’s website, it feels like you’re applying to be on Big Brother.
There’s not a whole lot of information on the university’s website other than the fact that you’ll be filmed quite often. Also the sign up process is very interesting - it goes from asking you random questions about yourself to actual school-like questions around math and science.
Kai Cenat has become an internet personality where anything he touches turns to gold so expect to hear more about Streamer University in your algorithms in the very near future.
The Many Faces of Andre3000
Andre3000 is like the Polkaroo of hiphop.
Outkast had this crazy run in music in the late 90’s to early 2000’s where no matter where you went you were guaranteed to hear “HEEEEEYYYY YEAAAAAAHHH”.
After all the accolades, in 2006 Andre3000 and BigBoi agreed to go on a hiatus from Outkast and the two have never teamed up since. Andre3000 had other interests he wanted to pursue and so now we see him pop up every so often in new forms.
This past week “3 Stacks” showed up to the Met Gala looking like a musical nomad. It got me thinking, man, everytime I see this guy show up somewhere, he’s switched up his style once again.

So let’s go through Andre3K’s image transformation through the years:
The ATLiens years

1995’s Source Award’s Best New HipHop Group
The Stankopia years

The Speakerboxx and The Love Below era

And then we really didn’t hear from or see Andre3000 for a good 16-17 years until he was found with a flute in Japan.

Fans have been waiting for an iconic verse, album, lyrics, anything from 3 Stacks but instead they got a flute album.
There’s no word on what’s next with Andre3000 but the man loves making different kinds of flutes and then playing different kinds of flute music. This is a long stretch from his iconic verses, especially one of my favourites on this track:
Farewell email from a female.
